Behaviour
In order to ensure that the 12th Farnham Scout Group can provide both a safe and enjoyable environment within all sections, we operate the following Behaviour policy.
All members of the 12th are expected to adhere to the Scout Promise and Law at all times and uphold the Scout values as below:
It is expected that each Beaver, Cub or Scout be respectful to each of their leaders at each weekly meeting and ensure they are quiet and listen when asked. This will sometimes be indicated by the leaders using the Scout salute (putting their hand up).
Any form of unacceptable behaviour (ie: bullying, harassment, or violence) exhibited by any Beaver/Cub/Scout, or parent/guardian will not be tolerated. Disciplinary action will be taken in accordance with the severity of the incident, ranging from a warning to expulsion from the group.
The leaders of each section will ensure that the policy is followed by all young people, and inform parents of any behavioural issues.
Please bear in mind that all our leaders, assistant leaders, young leaders, and volunteer helpers give up a great deal of their own time in order to operate the different sections, and without their dedication no aspect of the group would function.
